This is an excellent role for an experienced Events Manager who is available to cover a 1-year maternity contract. In this unique role you will oversee all events and lettings opportunities for this prestigious site. You will also manage a small team. This is a busy and varied role, and it is essential you do have events experience to apply.

As the Events Manager your tasks will be:
General Event Planning and Co-ordination
- Prepare for events, communication with all stakeholders, booking event space, arranging catering, AV equipment if required, travel arrangements, event signage, set up of event visually to meet branding and presentation requirements.
- Preparation of the event liaising with Marketing, Catering, Facilities, Director of Finance and Operations and any other relevant teams. Be prepared to work closely with Marketing team, Facilities team and the Sports Centre Manager to ensure full communication is maintained on a daily basis as appropriate for the event.
- Prepare any pre-event materials.
- Gather feedback on events to evaluate success and look at possible improvements.
- Close of events with a summary of budget, recommendations and checking everything was delivered as required.
Lettings and Venue Management
- Organisation and implementation of marketing and communications strategy to increase bookings.
- Develop and maintain the Lettings website.
- Manage and provide regular up-to-date information via the social media platforms.
- Accurately maintain all information from initial bookings to completion.
- Manage all invoicing of clients and ensure records are up to date.
- Book and arrange Cover Supervisors for events and sign off overtime.
- Responsible for set up and breakdown of regular events.
- To deal with all planning, logistics and set up of key school events.
- To manage the planning, organisation and delivery of conferences and symposiums.
- Working two weeks ahead, lead weekly diary meetings with key members of staff.
As the Events Manager you will need the following:
- Demonstrable experience of hospitality and events.
- Excellent written English and oral skills.
- The ability to communicate across all levels ensuring the message is understood by all.
- Excellent organisational skills, particularly in time and task management with ability to keep track of a wide range of events and projects. Able to demonstrate the ability to work to deadlines.
- Computer literate with intermediate experience of Microsoft programmes, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Technical awareness of simple AV systems.
