Job description

The Executive Director Travel, Meetings, Card & FleetGlobal Operations delivers operational excellence across the enterprise-wide global Travel, Meetings, Card and Fleet (TMC&F) programs. This responsibility includes management and optimization of 3rd party outsourced providers, development of a service excellence strategy and capabilities, management of supplier performance across these operations to ensure delivery on our financial and operational commitments and coordination of global compliance activities. Reporting directly to this position are the Regional Operations Directors across JCAP (Japan, China, Asia Pacific), Europe, and Americas (North and South America).

This role will be responsible for developing direct relationships with global business partners across the enterprise; driving transformational and complex change; and adherence to our company's policies and processes in support of the strategic delivery of Travel, Meetings, Card & Fleet strategies; anticipating the needs and exceeding the expectations of stakeholders; managing global supplier partnerships; collaborating with direct team members as well as matrixed colleagues globally; ensuring effective translation of strategies into actionable and aligned operational execution plans; and delivering value to the business through operational excellence.

The enterprise-wide Travel, Meetings, Card & Fleet Program has undergone a multi-year transformation, focused on its operating model, driving global process efficiencies, building trusted business stakeholder and supplier partnerships, and a customer experience mindset.

What you will do:

Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Directs the overall delivery of operations, utilizing internal resources and external partnerships to meet business needs within the framework of corporate policies, compliance obligations, service levels, customer experience and cost efficiencies

  • Interfacing with internal and external enterprise-wide stakeholders to promote Our company’s strategic objectives and to identify and prioritize value generation

  • Proactive management of strategic supplier relationships across all markets, ensuring business continuity and risk mitigation

  • Establishes and monitors KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for the business consistent with department measures and ensures best practices and operational improvement actions are implemented

  • Brings forward local, regional and global business requirements and perspectives to ensure they are represented in sourcing strategies and program design decisions

  • Resource management to ensure appropriate staffing to meet and exceed business needs across the TMC&F programs

  • Partners with TMC&F Procurement colleagues to drive all- inclusive sourcing plans that include all possible and relevant Diverse Suppliers globally

  • Manages and forecasts overall financial and operating performance within the scope outlined

Qualifications Skills & Experience Required:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in related field such as Operations, Procurement, Business or similar

  • Seasoned professional with 10+ years of global work experience in relevant areas of Travel, Meetings, Commercial Operations

  • Knowledge of Travel and Meeting supplier industry, necessary for success with the program delivery and ongoing management

  • Experience defining and deploying new operational strategies across a global organization

  • Strong manager of people with a working knowledge of operations-related business processes (preferred)

  • Able to travel up to 20% (as needed)

  • Proven track record in operations management, communication, leadership, diagnostic and prioritization skills

  • Ability to bring creativity and innovation to problem solving, organizational development and people leadership

  • Ability to work self-directed in a fast-paced global matrixed environment

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • Cultural awareness and the ability to work with international teams, often remotely

  • A proven track record in stakeholder engagement and collaboration driving strong partnerships
