We are looking for a Facilities Assistant to join our team.
The Facilities Assistant is a pivotal role that spans three locations - primarily based at Palace House, but also covering Bridge House and Covent Garden. Uphold site cleanliness, address maintenance issues, and assist with wider building-related tasks, including event setup, equipment checks, and supply management. The Maintenance Technician role enhances the student experience and supports college operations.
What you’ll bring to the role
Have a good working knowledge of multiple trades, ideally HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and decorating etc.
Have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer systems.
Have a passion for customer care and a sensitivity to student’s needs.
Have experience in a customer-facing environment.
Have recent experience working in a maintenance / caretaking role.
Have experience working in an effective Health & Safety culture in line with legislation.
Offer flexibility in working hours including provision of out-of-hours support in an emergency.
Essential skills/ experience
Have experience in customer service, hospitality, or student service provision.
Be able to work as part of a team, and work on own initiative.
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
