We are recruiting for career driven and meticulous individuals to join our team as a Finance Accounts Assistants. This is a great job for someone who wants to start their career in accounting and help shape and define our delivery.
The team is on a Transformation journey and the individual will support general ledger close and control and will be part of a team who will need to interact with a mix of people to problem solve and ultimately deliver accurate and timely accounting. There will be an element of routine monthly tasks that will require investigations as well as unexpected challenges that may arise.
You will need a natural curiosity, enjoy problem solving, be eager to embark on a finance career, take accountability for your own workload and provide your leader with clear updates on progress.
A bit about the job:
Working as part of the General ledger Accounting and control team you will be allocated several manual journals and controls or balance sheet reconciliations. Your role is to prepare the manual journals balance sheet reconciliations and operate the controls to agreed deadlines and within the financial control framework.
You will then be required to have an awareness on the end-to-end process with a particular focus on understanding the impact of the process your own further downstream. You will need to quickly build up a good understanding of business and finance processes and systems. Often analysing high volumes of data, attention to detail is required together with the ability to stand back, see the bigger picture, and understand key issues.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Good analytical skills and willingness to follow through on issues.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills

- Starting salary from £23,900 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
