ABP is seeking a talented Finance Analyst to join our Humber Regional Finance Team based in Hull. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in providing financial insights, analysis, and support to optimise business performance and drive strategic decision-making within the organisation.
This role supports business decisions through modelling, analysis and synthesis of key business data and trends through to the generation of options and recommendations.
Accountabilities
- Delivery of accurate and timely analysis to support business decision timescales

- Translating analysis into meaningful business insight
- Bringing in external insight and data from customers, industries and markets
- Development of business options and implications through to recommendations
- Engagement and stakeholder management with Regional Finance and business teams to ensure analysis is fit to drive effective decisions
- Generation of Business Cases for area supported
- To be ‘data inquisitive’ to generate new insights for the business and to translate analysis into business language
- To develop core analytical methods and tools for use across the business and to share best practice techniques across ABP
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Supporting business with preparation of forecasts and budget with key assumptions, drivers and trends.
Skills, experiences qualifications and competencies
Essential
- Passionate about the business. Continually seeks improvement
- Very high level of business curiosity and engagement
- To be ‘data inquisitive’ to generate new insights for the business and to translate analysis into business language
- To develop core analytical methods and tools for use across the business and to share best practice techniques across ABP
- Interested in spending time IN the business with business colleagues
- Part / newly qualified accountant with one of the accountant bodies (CIMA / ACCA / ICAEW)
- Highly numerate and analytical
- Good communicator
- Passion for learning and developing
