We are currently looking to welcome a Finance Apprentice, who is looking to start the career in Accounts and Finance, as part of our ongoing commitment to introduce more apprenticeships into our business. We are delighted to offer this opportunity, which will run in conjunction with an AAT Level 2/3 Certificate in Accounting and will be supported by our central finance team who hold a wealth of expertise within our field.

About The Role
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual to gain an excellent industry qualification whilst being supported with practical on the job training.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will be working on your targets related to your Apprenticeship and role performance objectives agreed by your company appointed Mentor and attend all college, training, assessments, and progress reviews.
- You will demonstrate an active involvement/interest in the finance function, spending time learning from the different finance teams.
- You will need to be able to accurately input data and highlight and challenge when things don t look right.
- Interacting and working collaboratively with all levels of Selwood staff to achieve all agreed outcomes.
- Show continued progress in the development of your knowledge on financial aspects of processing and reporting with the support of a dedicated mentor.
Qualifications & Experience:
- GCSE or equivalent English Language (Grade 5)
- GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 5)
- Keen interest in Finance and Accounts
- Learning Agility Be able to demonstrate learning from experience and applying it in new ways, adapting to new circumstances and opportunities.
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, adapting your style and approach to meet the needs of your stakeholders whilst working well in a team.
- Understand and respect safety procedures to keep yourself and those around you safe.
- Good understand of Excel and the Microsoft Suite with the ability to develop skills on the job.
- Demonstrate an ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and use problem-solving skills.
