We are a small housing association with nearly 1,000 properties across London and the South East and also provide housing management and backend services for many independent housing co-ops. What sets us apart from other social housing providers is that our roots are in co-operative housing and our mission is to make community- and resident-led housing mainstream.
We’re now looking for a Finance Assistant to join us on permanently and help to deliver a robust and accurate transactions process including purchase ledger and rent accounting.
Your job as Finance Assistant will be to ensure that all transactions are processed quickly and accurately, and that suppliers and external and internal customers including our client co-ops always receive an efficient and helpful service. You’ll be supported by the Finance Transactions Manager and joining a Finance team known for keeping its promises, meeting deadlines, and focusing on business value and continuous improvement.
With pace, energy and enthusiasm, the Finance Assistant will have a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and be a confident user of other Microsoft packages, the internet and have other IT skills. You’ll have a keen eye for detail, good record keeping skills and the ability and drive to follow problems through to resolution. Highly numerate and literate, able to express yourself clearly and concisely in emails and reports, you will work methodically and have experience of managing your own workload and priorities. You’ll enjoy working with data and numbers and be enthusiastic about enabling others and giving a great customer service!
