Finance Assistant - About the role
My client are looking for a Finance Assistant within the Finance team - ideally an individual who has started studying towards an accountancy qualification. You will provide financial administration support to a busy Finance department and the role will also include input and support to accounts processes and monthly reporting, including data analysis.
Finance Assistant - Key duties
Daily importing of invoices, purchase receipts
Liaising with suppliers and internal handlers
Working supplier statements
Assisting with weekly supplier payment runs
Processing invoices
Various month end reporting duties, including but not limited to balance sheet reconciliations, quarterly VAT returns and month end journal adjustments
Finance Assistant - Key requirements
Looking for someone with good communication skills and an eye for detail who is dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated to join the team. Computer literate and competent with MS Excel (Vlookups and pivot tables)
Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
Organised and capable of working to tight daily and monthly deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills
Good knowledge of Sage Accounts desirable
