Key Responsibilities include
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute financial strategies that support the company's overall goals and objectives.
- To maintain full, accurate and timely data sets on the commercial performance of the business in order to be able to respond swiftly and correctly to ad hoc requests for information.
- Mine data sources and look for trends, variances and any other relevant information.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business opportunities, including new routes, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Communicate findings to the Senior Management Team.
- Working with colleagues in IT, to develop Management Information Systems capable of providing immediate and simple access to commercial data
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support pricing decisions, contract negotiations, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Support the financial planning and forecasting processes, including budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Conduct regular financial performance reviews and present findings to senior management.
- Lead the development of robust financial reporting and analysis tools to enhance decision-making capabilities.
- Support the preparation and evaluation of business cases for capital expenditure projects and investments.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and adherence to internal controls.
- Recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial planning and forecasting tools, and experience in budgeting and variance analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial software systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handling multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, using own initiative and judgment to deliver outputs to agreed deadlines.
