Aila is working in exclusive partnership with a progressive multi-site hospitality business as they look to hire a Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis, reporting to the Finance Director.
The Group was only established 2 years ago, investing to expand their portfolio but already owning impressive and premium sites across London & the UK. They’ve gained plenty of recognition since launch and have an impressive £25m turnover.
This is an autonomous and progressive role, where you’ll be the main point of contact for bringing the monthly management accounting in from their external accountants for the first time and adding value through FP&A, developing and implementing financial strategies to support the company’s goals and ambitious growth plans.
Based in Paddington with a flexible hybrid structure in place with 3 days in the office. You will report to an experienced and personable Finance Director and will be a key support to the senior leadership team, helping to drive business performance and scale.
You will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of our organisation, ensuring efficient financial operations, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s goals
- Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and budgets
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement
- Oversee the preparation and management of the annual budget
- Monitor and report on budget performance, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements
- Key initial project will be to bring in house the month-end management accounts process
- Implement controls and processes to complete month-end
- Coordinate month-end, quarterly and year-end close processes
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure the company can meet its financial obligations.
- Develop cash flow forecasts and strategies to maintain optimal cash reserves.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Advise senior management on the financial implications of business decisions
This will suit a Qualified Accountant either making their first move from a medium sized accountancy firm, or a Finance Manager already working in industry that’s excited by a hands-on and progressive role in a modern and refreshing hospitality group.
