About the opportunity:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, financially savvy, emerging leader to join our Europe team as a Joint Venture Accountant. In this role, you'll collaborate with Europe based Vice Presidents, Operations, internal and external business partners as well as Finance peers. Bring your initiative, passion for innovation, and talent for multi-tasking in afast-paced environment, and we'll help you grow and pursue what fulfils you.
You'll thrive in this challenging environment, collaborating with business partners to understand and explain JV business trends and performance, develop enhanced reporting and analysis and implement areas for process improvement. You'll take the lead on all the internal Jacobs reporting of the PPS Europe BU Joint Ventures, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment is applied both within the JV and in Jacobs accounts to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting. You will collaborate with the Europe Finance Managers for budgeting and forecast reviews, as well as providing timely and inciteful information during month end. Liaising with internal stakeholders, you'll ensure best practice is implemented and maintained in line with company requirements, audit requirements, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Here's What You'll Need:
- Solid working experience in a finance role or a relevant qualification to perform the role
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle) and significant Excel experience
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret financial statements and articulate insight
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strategic thinking combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills by proactively reviewing financial data to make recommendations
- Experience in building relationships with other stakeholders in Operations, Accounting, Tax, Sales, Legal and external counterparts is crucial to influence outcomes
- Ability to effectively handle change and work in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines
- Prior experience in our industry or a project driven, consulting industry is preferred
- Chartership is also preferred
