About the role The Enterprises Department at the Bodleian Libraries has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer to join the team. Based at the Old Bodleian and Weston Libraries on Broad Street in Oxford, the post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration of the department’s commercial activities, in accordance with University financial controls and compliance. The Enterprises Department comprises several different businesses including publishing, events (weddings and corporate), tours, retail (Quad and Weston Shops plus online offer) and imaging services. It is tasked with the promotion of the library and generating income to support the Bodleian Libraries non-commercial work. The Finance Officer will work across all areas providing support and cover for the financial administration of these areas when required. The role will be directly responsible for the Events, Filming and Publishing financial administration and related tasks. The role will report direct to the Commercial Director and work with them to produce the Commercial Dashboard plus gather, manipulate and present data on the department’s budgets and forecasting, re-budgeting exercises, working closely with the department’s Heads Of Departments. You will proactively undertake continuous improvement of finance processes and systems and of reporting provision to support changing requirements and improve management information.
