Our client - a rapidly growing manufacturing and distribution business based in UK and Europe - is seeking an experienced Controller to join its' team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting into the Group Finance Function in Leicester.

About the Role:

•           Production of timely monthly management accounts

•           Control account reconciliations and Balance Sheet reconciliations

•           Accruals & prepayments

•           Inventory controls

•           Managing fixed assets register

•           General ledger, incl. journal preparation & posting

•           VAT returns

•           Take full ownership of tax related obligations in Europe (using in-country local advisors)

•           Preparing annual statutory financial statements (with support from in-country local advisors),

The Right Person

•           Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent German accounting qualification

•           Wirtschaftsprüferkammer (Chamber of Public Accountants),

•           Institut der Wirtschaftsprüfer in Deutschland e.V. (Institute of Public Accountants in Germany, Incorporated Association),

•           Ideally with experience of imports & exports,

•           German accounting experience,

•           Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,

•           Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.

•           Able to fit into a dynamic and fast-moving accounting team within a large organisation,

•           Excellent planning, organisation skills and adherence to tight deadline,

•           Strong IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel (pivot charts / tables, macros, data models) and MS Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP),

•           Excellent communication skills in English and German (verbal and written).
