Reed Accountancy have recently partnered up with a business who are looking to add a Financial Controller to the business.
The role is with an SME with an annual turnover of around £6M and will have a progression route for the right candidate through to Director level.
The right candidate will have experience with
- Project Spend Management:
- Be able to collaborate with project managers and oversee and control budgets
- Analyse costs as well as track expenses and ensure full adherence to budgetary guidelines
- Be able to identify opportunities for cost saving and be able to recommend efficient resource allocations
- Cash Flow Management
- Be able to develop and maintain cash flow forecasting
- Monitor daily cash balances, liquidity and working capital
- Be able to implement strategies to optimise cashflow and manage short term liquidity needs
- Payment collection
- Work closely with project teams to ensure timely invoicing
- Oversee the accounts receivable function and follow up on outstanding payments
- Be able to implement effective credit control procedures to minimize overdue accounts and aged debt
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets and cashflow statements
- Provide analysis of financial performance and trends
- Oversee and mentoring of the finance function
The Person
- Strong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail
- Someone with a background focussing around cashflow
- PQ/Fully Qualified or QBE will be considered
