Interim Financial Controller required imminently for a 12 month maternity contract. My prestigious client based in South Birmingham is a 'well established' business. Directly reporting into the Finance Director, this role is responsible for ensuring timely and and accurate financial reporting, monthly forecasting & annual budgeting as well as requests for financial information to aid decision making and business growth.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leadership and direction of the central finance team including purchase ledger.
Direct responsibility for central overhead management accounts and budget monitoring
Efficient, accurate and timely execution of day to day finance team activity
Management of central payroll accounting
Ongoing efficiency improvements in systems & processes, ensuring the finance team is set up for divisional growth and business demands
Development of junior team members including coaching and regular feedback
To be successful for this role, you will be a Qualified Accountant working within a similar Financial Controller role. You must be experienced with management reporting and have the ability to prepare UK statutory accounts.
My client is working three days on site and must have somebody in 'situ' by Mid March.
