SalaryTrace Recruit is delighted to be working with an industry leading Construction business, who are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their busy team. As a Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic insights to drive business growth to the Board of Directors.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.
- Creation and evaluation of accurate month-end reports to include P&L, Balance Sheet, Receivables, Payables.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for construction projects.
- Monitor project costs, analyse variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Provide financial support to the management team.
This role offers scope and variety, and would suit an experienced Finance Manager/Controller to join a rapidly growing business, reporting directly to the CFO and supporting the through an exciting period of growth
- Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
