Flights Manager, Norfolk, £40k p.a
Our client is an award-winning winning Travel business, that specialises in escorted holidays.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Commercial department for a switched-on, energetic, and adaptable Flights Manager in our Head Office in Norfolk area.
The Responsibilities of the Flights Manager will be:
- This includes modernising and adapting current processes to align with industry requirements and limitations.
- Training team members to serve both internal and external customers proficiently within agreed timelines is essential.
- The successful candidate will also research and present airline developments to the product team, as well as anticipate product development requirements and support the team with group flight provision for all holidays.
- Ensure that all groups have sufficient seats per departure.
- Build and nurture relationships with our flights partners.
- Ensure departmental processes are efficient and fit for purpose
- Assist with GDS implementation
- Ensure service delivery to internal and external customers is exceptional
- Ensure brochures and website accurately reflect our flight provision
- Manage, recruit and develop a flights team in accordance with needs of growing business
The skills required for the Flights Manager are:
- At least 3 years experience working in a flights or aviation department in the travel industry
- GDS experience – ideally Amadeus
- Experience managing people
- A good patient telephone manner
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise
- Displays tenacity and a determination to succeed
