Main Duties
Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day management and running of gallery
- Coordinate and curate 6 gallery exhibitions with private views and regular annual art fairs, including the possibility of international art fairs
- Liaise with Directors to develop and coordinate exhibition schedule and curate forthcoming exhibitions
- You will need to skilled at using computer software including: Apple Software, Microsoft, Artlogic and general strong computing skills
- Liaise with artists regarding new art works, deliveries, framing, PR and exhibition presentation
- Liaise with designers to design and proof exhibition catalogue and plan production schedules
- Work with Directors as part of a sales team to develop new and existing client relationships and strategies for sales/exhibitions
- Conduct follow-up client interest and sales after art fairs and exhibitions
- Conduct financial reporting of sales and future strategies for exhibitions
- Organise & manage Director’s yearly schedule of art fairs, exhibitions, degree shows, studio visits and personal excursions in UK and abroad
- Assist Director in PR, writing exhibition press releases, updating exhibition listings and maintaining up-to-date press archive
- Tailor target client list and send out catalogues and invitations to clients/press
- Organise art fair and exhibition preparation, update gallery database, price lists and exhibition signage materials
- Oversee domestic and international transport of artwork and insurance cover
- Process invoices & valuations, manage payments and gallery petty cash expenses
- Manage and update images and content on gallery website, Artsy and social media (social media work will be supported by an e-commerce and social media professional)

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an art-related field preferred.
- Strong art history background and a keen interest in the art world.
- Excellent computing skills, including proficiency in Apple Software, Microsoft, and Artlogic.
- Highly responsible and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in a similar role or art gallery setting is advantageous.
