We have a new opportunity for a Group Assistant Planning Manager to join our team within Vistry Services, his role could be based out of either our reading, London or Brentwood offices. As our Group Assistant Planning Manager, you will support planning input across the Group required to promote and deliver the Company's development sites.
You will support Group wide monitoring and evidencing of regional s106 obligations and condition trackers to ensure compliance and support house sales and assist in the identification and promotion of new development opportunities and provide advice to the Group Planning Director as required.

- BA/BSc (Hons) Planning Studies and/or postgrad Diploma in Planning Studies
- Licentiate Member/Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute
- Previous relevant experience in consultancy or development company, demonstrating site appraisal/negotiation/communication skills and knowledge of planning/legal process.
- Some public sector experience an advantage

- Liaise with Regions on monitoring and evidencing s106 obligations and condition discharge/compliance.
- Liaise with Regions collecting, collating, analysing and reporting data and evidence. Always with the aim of helping divisions to improve their land and planning performance.
- Assist in preparation of monthly reports to Executive Leadership Team on planning matters of importance to the business.
- Provide planning advice on issues arising on sites already secured and also in relation potential land investments.
- Assist the GPD with research and analysis to help guide and influence business in relation to planning and new land investment.
- Support preparation of a Monthly Planning Bulletin and a Monthly Planning Appeals Note.
- Ad-hoc advice notes to the business on emerging national planning policy and legislation.
- Liaise, consult and negotiate with relevant external organisations, including attendance at public consultation and stakeholder events.
- Monitor Central and Local Government policies, guidance and advice.
- Provide advice and assistance to colleagues and trainees on planning matters.
- Ensure continued professional development to meet MRTPI requirements.
- Undertake other duties as required.
