SalaryCMA are currently working with a globally know organisation who operate within a really exciting sector. Based in Hedge End, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to join their established and successful team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who has some accounting experience, in the early stages of their finance career and looking for a role that will allow for development and progression.
What will the Assistant Accountant role involve?
- Responsible for ensuring ledger integrity and implementing controls
- Prepare key information required for monthly management account packs
- Reconciliation of balance sheets
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Assist with year-end audit queries
- Responsible for reconciling payments on a daily basis and resolving discrepancies
- Providing accurate and timely information to HODs
- Assisting sales ledger and purchase ledger, if required
- Ensuring VAT is correctly posted and assisting with VAT returns
- Manage month end activities
- Provide ad hoc support to Head of Finance as required
Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy:
- Ideally AAT qualified or studying towards an accounting qualification
- A good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Bookkeeping or previous accounting experience
- Exceptional communication skills
