4c is proud to be supporting Inspire Wellbeing, an all-island charity and social enterprise with the aim of providing wellbeing for all, as they seek to appoint a Group Finance Director.
Inspire Wellbeing was established in 1959 and at that time the charity was known as The Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health (NIAMH) and was the first of its kind in the country. Over the last 65 years the charity has grown and developed into one of the largest providers of mental health and addiction care, intellectual disability and autism care, and therapeutic and wellbeing services in the island of Ireland. Throughout the years their growth has always been guided by their values (inclusive, passionate, determined, kind, honest and innovative), which are embedded in everything they do, every day.
As the charity aims for future growth and expansion in the Republic of Ireland as well as in Northern Ireland, they wish to appoint a senior finance leader who will be a fully qualified accountant with CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or similar accreditation, responsible for financial & strategic planning, commercial development, team leadership and who will have the skills to, at times, be comfortable with the uncomfortable. Reporting to the Group CEO, the role holder will also be responsible for audit, systems, and the strategic review of the charity's services across the island of Ireland to identify and mitigate potential risks.
The Group Finance Director will have:
- Significant experience working at senior level finance roles in relevant, commercially focused environments with experience of successfully inputting into overall business strategy supporting an organisation deliver sustainable outcomes.
- Proven experience of overseeing the production of robust financial reports which are delivered on-time and are fully compliant with statutory regulations, reporting findings at board level and providing strategic, commercially focused advice to the board based on produced reports and financial analysis.
- Proven experience of preparing annual budgets, presenting those at board level and tracking progress against the same coupled with robust experience of financial forecasting.
- Demonstrable experience of overseeing procurement and contracting services coupled with demonstrable experience of identifying and implementing finance systems. It would also be advantageous having experience of identifying and implementing procurement and IT systems.
- Proven track record of working as a team player within a senior management team, embracing and championing organisation's mission, vision and values and engaging at board level.
