An innovative, emerging financial services business (mortgage / lending) that is a leader in it's field is now in search of an ACA or ACCA qualified Head of Finance to help manage the day to day activities of the finance team and to help strategically guide the business through a period of accelerated growth.
Head of Finance- About the role
You will ensure the finance team provides timely and accurate financial information covering all areas of the business. duties will include:
- Manage all day to day accounting operations
- Ownership of the month end reporting process
- Develop appropriate financial controls and improve financial processes across the business
- Provide timely and accurate internal and external reporting
- Provide accurate forecasting and budgeting, highlighting variances
- Ensure statutory requirements are met for all UK and international territories
- Treasury management
- Ad hoc project work
- Develop strong relationships across the whole business to enable more accurate reporting
- Liaise and challenge key decision makers across the business
Head of Finance - Candidate requirements:
- Degree educated, ideally with an ACA / ACCA accounting qualification
- 5-10 years of proven finance experience outside of practice and ideally with some securitisation or lending / mortgage exposure within financial services
- Previous experience of growing a small team advantageous
- Up to date IFRS knowledge
- Previous experience in a multiple territory and product business highly advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop sound working relationships with all levels of staff
- Advanced Excel skills
- Willing to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
