Head Of Finance And Grants

They are looking for a Head of Finance to provide oversight and control of the organisation’s finances on a part time basis for 3 days per week (21 hours) for approximately 3 months.

Offering flexible hybrid working ( 1 – 2 days a week in the office)

You will oversee the work of the Finance Department and ensure compliance with best practice. You will control financial transactions, accounting function, audit and financial planning, cash flow management and the bank reconciliation process. You will support with reporting and compliance, including preparing statutory accounts for audit and the approval of the Board, implementing controls that allow efficient use of funds both restricted and unrestricted and produce quarterly VAT returns. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting to the Director of Finance and Corporate Resources and support with monthly departmental budget variance and performance analysis. You will also manage the Xledger finance system.

This role requires experience of maintaining strong financial controls. The successful candidate will be a confident system and Excel user that possesses strong commercial acumen with a clear focus on driving excellent financial and commercial performance.  They will have exceptional analytical skills, problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills with stakeholders at various levels.
