Head of HR
Working exclusively with this sports business to recruit an ambitious Head of HR as part of the Senior Leadership Team to oversee and manage the full HR function. Global exposure would be an advantage as policy and process need to be aligned internationally.
The successful HR professional will work closely with Directors on key projects to work in line with overall business strategy. The opportunity will cover all aspects of HR to include coaching and consulting on employee relations, policy and procedure implementation, recruitment, training & development, and succession planning. You will also lead and deliver on key projects. The successful candidate will have strong people management skills, be a true generalist and a natural leader.
The role itself
Working with senior leadership team to align HR process throughout the organisation
Providing sound complex Employee relations advice
Conduct and manage the appraisal process
Work with Directors' to follow through on key projects
Responsible for HR policy, procedure, and processes
Manage training and development across sites
Succession planning
Managing the apprenticeship levy
Coach, mentor and develop junior staff
The Candidate
Ability to work independently and as a key part of the SLT
A strong commercially aware candidate with confidence and courage to deliver
Experience of working in a sports or leisure business advantageous
Exposure to working in a global operation
A sound knowledge of employment law
CIPD level 7 or equivalent
A background dealing with complex employee relations cases
Proven background in strong stakeholder management
Extensive people skills, with a positive approach and exceptional communication skills
Used to working at a fast pace in a people centric environment
