Cloudsmith ( ), your friendly neighbourhood Package Management startup, is a fully-managed 24/7 Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for securely storing, scanning and sharing assets, packages, and containers. We have shipped millions of software packages for companies around the world and specifically help with: (1) development, for build pipelines and managing dependencies; (2) deployment, for delivery to servers; and (3) distribution, for helping vendors sell and distribute software.

Following a series of successful funding rounds, Cloudsmith is a VC backed startup, with support from investors, and customers from across the world. We need your help to continue our mission of being the world’s best choice for software storage and distribution, and this is an incredibly exciting opportunity to become part of the success story. You’ll be getting in on the ground floor as an early hire at the company. Our goal is to become Ireland’s next SaaS-based technology IPO, and we can get there together.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a world-class Head of Marketing!

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and implement global marketing strategies, including online demand generation programs, in-person events, public relations, and corporate communications. Understand and define Cloudsmith’s strategy for product-led growth, including how leads should ideally originate and flow, whether through product usage, direct contact with Sales, or a combination. Ensure these strategies align with Cloudsmith’s growth ambitions and market positioning, setting us apart from competitors.
  • Corporate Communications: Drive consistent, high-quality awareness programs across all channels that grow awareness among prospective customers of Cloudsmith as the leading provider in our market. Ensure all official communications, including press releases, customer case studies, and spokesperson media interviews, are executed professionally.
  • Partnership Strategy: Provide marketing materials to help with outreach to potential investors, development partners, integrators, industry analysts, and thought leaders. Raise Cloudsmith’s profile as the top-recommended platform for software supply chain management.
  • Market Development: Create and operationalize repeatable processes for lead generation. Continually analyze results, along with industry shifts and competitor methodologies, to maximize lead flow to our signup pages, as well as our “contact sales” pages.
  • Develop and oversee key performance indicators to gauge and amplify the effectiveness of Marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the content and implementation of Cloudsmith’s website, ensuring we communicate the right solutions to each of our buyer personas and focus industries, and drive leads to our signup pages.
  • Champion the company’s brand, evolve it to reflect shifting market conditions and customer needs, and drive high quality execution anywhere people encounter our brand. Own Cloudsmith’s brand-related assets, including our brand book, presentation tools, and document templates.
  • Work with Sales to ensure upstream marketing is consistently delivering high quality leads for sales representatives to take forward.
  • Team Direction: Coach and lead a team of marketers and demand generation specialists, along with contractors and agencies that are delivering on marketing initiatives.
  • Manage Cloudsmith’s marketing budget so we deliver commensurate value for each dollar spent.

About You, The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrated ability creating and operating marketing pipelines for fast-growing tech companies, with a particular focus on B2B developer marketing. Experience spanning the start-up to scale-up evolution.
  • Mastery in making marketing processes efficient, scalable, and measurable.
  • Proficiency in online/offline, inbound/outbound marketing, and lead cultivation.
  • A customer-first orientation.
  • Exceptional taste for what works well, looks good, and hits the mark – every time.
