We have a great opportunity to join Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust as our new Head of OD - Transformation & Talent. Bring your expertise in talent management, senior leadership development, reward and recognition, and organisational transformation and change. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you'll collaborate closely with leaders throughout our organisation and system partners, making impactful change and enhancing healthcare delivery.
As part of the wider People Directorate, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the development and implementation of key initiatives outlined in our People Strategy with a particular focus on organisational transformation, talent management, and leadership development.

Main duties of the job
Strategic Leadership:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Trust's People Strategy, with a focus on organisational transformation, talent management, and leadership development.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the People Directorate to ensure alignment of organisational development initiatives with Trust objectives and priorities
Culture Evaluation and Enhancement:
- Develop and implement methods to assess and improve the organisational culture and climate, ensuring alignment with Trust values and goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of organisational development strategies and initiatives.
Organisational Development Leadership:
- Support the board and executive team in implementing key interventions to shape the desired organisational culture and enhance the quality of care provided by the Trust.
- Lead the design and execution of organisational development activities, including talent management, leadership development, reward systems, and coaching
Learning Culture Promotion:
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the organisation.
- Facilitate knowledge exchange and cross-organisational learning opportunities.
Project Leadership and Adaptability:
- Lead strategic projects and specific People initiatives as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving organisational needs.

Essential
- Educated to relevant master's level or equivalent portfolio of demonstrable experience.
- Recognised OD qualifications e.g. coaching, MBTI, mediation, etc. or demonstrable experience.
- Evidence of relevant CPD.
Experience

- Significant experience in OD within a large and complex environment.
- Significant experience of creating and implementing OD interventions in change/transformation programmes.
- Experience of both strategy and policy formulation and experience of working at senior manager level.
Skills & Knowledge
Essential
- Proven track record in programme design, project management and evaluation of the implementation of OD interventions.
- Highly developed specialist knowledge in the provision of expert organisational development.
- Up to date knowledge of current NHS issues, initiatives, and their impact on OD.
