Charity People are working with Mothers' Union on the search for a dedicated and passionate Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships. This brand new role marks an exciting chapter in this esteemed charity's history. This is a brilliant opportunity to start a major giving programme in an organisation with lots of great connections.
Mothers' Union is a women-led volunteer Christian movement, with a membership of four-million people around the world, 36,000 of whom live in the UK and Ireland. Members express their faith through action in their local communities, aiming to create a world where every individual can reach their full potential, by ending poverty, injustice and violence.
Although a Christian movement they work with people of all faiths and none to develop communities, strengthen families and advocate for change. Members are active in 83 countries and work tirelessly to serve their communities to build a future where everyone thrives.

Salary: £48,000 - £52,000
Contract: Full time
Location: Central London, Hybrid (90 office days per year.)

About the role
As the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure major donations from individuals in the first instance. You will also manage a trusts manager. You will work closely with the Head of Fundraising to ensure income targets are met or exceeded, contributing to the sustainability and growth of Mothers' Union.
In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of driving impactful Philanthropy and Partnerships for Mothers' Union. You will develop and execute a dynamic strategy to secure major donations, ensuring the annual income targets are met. You will nurture key relationships with existing donors, ambassadors, celebrities, and potential new supporters, leveraging these connections. You will build and manage a robust pipeline of supporters, ensuring continuous growth and rejuvenation.

You are a seasoned fundraising professional with a proven track record of securing substantial donations from high-net-worth individuals. Your strategic mindset and innovative approach enable you to develop and execute successful fundraising initiatives that drive results. With your exceptional communication skills and keen attention to detail, you cultivate strong relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
