Head Of Production And Premises

The Head of Production and Premises is an integral member of the Donmar’s management team, leading the technical team to deliver all productions within the agreed parameters and ensure a positive, collaborative working culture across our in-house teams, artists and freelancers. Depending on the experience levels of the appointee, this role could either join the Donmar as a member of the Senior Management team or could work towards joining SMT as appropriate.

They ensure all technical systems run smoothly, are compliant and maintained to the highest standards. They have oversight of the maintenance of the Donmar’s sites supported by the Operations Manager. The role has responsibility for the  delivery of organisational sustainability goals.

Reporting to: General Manager and the Executive Team 

Working with: Producing Team, Audiences Team, Operations Department, Company Stage Manager, Creative Teams and Production Managers (freelance)

Line manage: Head of Stage, Head of Lighting (Sound and Video Supervisor), Head of Wardrobe and Technical Coordinator

Location: Donmar Warehouse: 41 Earlham Street, London WC2H 9LX

Terms: Full-time, Permanent

Working hours: 35 hours per week. The Donmar’s offices and theatre are open between 8am and 11pm Monday-Saturday and people work varying hours within those times depending on the nature of their role. The Donmar operates a TOIL system.

Salary: c£50,000 dependent on experience
