SalaryOne of the most prestigious and respected private fertility clinics in London is seeking an HCA with previous (fertility) theatre experience, i.e. assisting with egg collections, embryo transfers and surgical sperm retrievals.
Hours
Full time (37.5 hours per week), M-F
08:00-16:30
The successful candidate will work in within a successful organisation based in one of the world’s most renowned medical areas known globally for excellent care and service.
The role
The Healthcare Assistant will work as an integral part of the Clinic’s nursing team.
Previous experience within a private fertility clinic or similar setting is a significant advantage.
Duties
Work as an integral part of the nursing team, including but not limited to:
- Prepare for and assist with the smooth running of the clinic ensuring a high standard of nursing care
- Perform basic patient assessments
- Perform blood tests
- Perform pretreatment consultations and set up a patient’s treatment
- Assist consultants with clinic lists, including consultations, ultrasound scans, HyCoSy, endometrial scratch and other interventions
- Act as a dispensing assistant to the registered Pharmacist or nurse
- Perform pre-operative assessments
- Assist the registered nurses with their duties

Required experience and skills
- Previous fertility experience is a significant advantage
- Phlebotomy experience
- Ability to cannulate is an advantage
- Theatre experience for egg collections, embryo transfers or similar is an advantage
- Excellent bedside manner
- Outstanding patient care

- Able to prioritise and manage time well
