Our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Administrator to join the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team.
The postholder will be responsible for providing administrative and project support to the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing team to ensure the successful delivery of the HSW team's objectives and targets. They will be involved in managing and analysing health and safety data, writing and compiling reports up to Board level, scheduling and supporting meetings, organising health and safety compliance training, supporting and co-ordinating various wellbeing initiatives, managing various IT systems on behalf of the wider team and helping with the team's communications processes to the wider organisation.
In addition, the ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of supporting various meetings, including taking minutes.
- Excellent problem solving and organisational skills.
- Able to analyse and report on data.
- Proven experience in a high-level administration role.
- Excellent team working skills, with the ability to work independently to a high standard.
Role and Responsibilities
The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Administrator focuses on assisting and coordinating the HSW Team to ensure the day-to-day operations of the function run smoothly.
- Managing various software systems for efficient data input and output.
- Filing and archiving.
- Creating and managing documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
- Managing and analysing health and safety data across a range of sources to identify trends and anomalies, propose changes and to provide management information for the wider business
- Writing and compiling reports for the leadership team, ExCo and the Board as well as external stakeholders.
- Coordinate team activity and track progress against objectives and deadlines.
- Scheduling committee meetings and taking minutes.
- Organising mandatory health and safety training.
- Assisting in the execution of the HSW learning management system and keeping certification up to date on the system.
- Assisting in disseminating communications to the wider business.
- Delivering the HSW induction to new starters.
- Coordination of safety engagement visits with the Senior Leadership Team.
- Develops, supports and co-ordinates safety projects and initiatives.
- Create presentation material by drawing data and input from a variety of sources.
- Investigate supplier products and services across health, safety and wellbeing and make recommendations for implementation of new supplier arrangements.
- Review current systems and process and adjust, update and amend as required to ensure that they are fit for purpose
- Draft policy and process documents.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Educated to A level standard or equivalent
Required to have, or prepared to work towards a relevant safety qualification including but not limited to one of the following:
- IOSH Working Safely
- IOSH Managing Safely
