Nigel Wright are pleased to be supporting a successful manufacturing company in their search for a Health & Safety Advisor to join their HSE team.
The company have some very well known customers and are growing rapidly over the next few years. They pride themselves on quality and are looking for the right character with enthusiasm and passion to join their team.
The Opportunity:
Working within a team of Advisors you will report to the Health & Safety Director where you will need to be an engaging and enthusiastic person, who will assist in a broad spectrum of health and safety initiatives to ensure the safe and effective operations of the site.
As a Health and Safety Advisor you will be accountable for a wide range of tasks including DSE assessments, Control of contractors, Incident report review and support, H&S inductions/training/facilitation, H&S audits, Risk assessments, PPE management, Occupational health management, COSHH overview, safety observations and general support for the various departments in the business.
This role has great potential for a candidate in the earlier stages of their HSE career who is eager to develop and progress their skills and knowledge, especially if there is the desire to focus and develop on a particular specialism within the HSE discipline.
Normal working hours 8.30am to 5pm but are flexible, as are the working days.
About you:
- You will have experience within a fast moving manufacturing industry, and at least 12-18 months within a Health and Safety role
- NEBOSH Certificate preferred but not essential
- You will be very hands-on and pro-active in your approach
- Excellent communications, ability to engage and influence across various departments
