Position:Housing Support Worker
Location: Salford, Greater Manchester
Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: Up to £24,000 per year

Role Overview: As a Housing Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with their housing needs. You'll work closely with individuals facing homelessness, mental health challenges, or other housing-related issues. Your empathetic approach and problem-solving skills will contribute to creating a supportive and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to understand clients' housing requirements and develop personalised support plans.
- Assist clients in accessing appropriate housing options, including emergency accommodation, social housing, and private rentals.
- Provide practical assistance, such as helping with tenancy applications, budgeting, and connecting clients to relevant services.
- Advocate for clients' rights and liaise with external agencies, local authorities, and landlords.
- Monitor progress and offer ongoing support to ensure housing stability.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address complex needs.
Requirements:
- Experience in Housing Support, social work, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Knowledge of housing legislation, benefits, and local resources.
- Compassion, resilience, and a non-judgmental approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping and reporting.
Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification in social work, housing, or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
