About the Job:
You will provide the administration of the transactional elements of the HR Service Centre and support Brigade staff through their employee life-cycle.
Key Information:
Hourly Rate: £16.36 per hour PAYE or £20.65 per hour Umbrella
Hours: 35 hours (Monday-Friday)
Location: London Bridge /Hybrid (2 days in the office)
Contract Duration: 2 months (view to extend)
Start Date: ASAP
Client: London Fire Brigade
Key Responsibilities
- To maintain and assist in the development of office systems both manual and computerised.
- Inbox management along with providing a range of correspondence via email and telephone regarding HR queries such as leave entitlement, payroll etc
- To receive and assist visitors, both internal and external, identifying their requirements and helping them to achieve the purpose of their visit
- To assist the HR Service Centre Co-ordinator with the collation and provision of statistical
- management information.
- To ensure that all information relating to the work of HR Services is dealt with in a confidential, secure and sensitive manner and in accordance with GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge
- Previous work experience within HR and using HR systems (Required)
- Inbox management and dealing with large volume of HR queries such as Payroll and leave entitlement (Required)
- Experience of organising, planning and prioritising own work, meeting deadlines and targets.
- Experience of writing correspondence and short reports in plain English, using correct grammar, spelling and appropriate vocabulary
- Experience of providing administrative support and excellent customer service, whilst working
- flexibly as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
