HR Advisor
12 month FTC - Maternity Cover
London Office (3 days per week)
We are hiring for a HR Advisor to join the team who will be responsible for supporting the Head of HR & with the delivery of the HR provision to line managers in specific areas including employee relations, casework, onboarding, performance reviews and benefits. The HR Advisor will also have the opportunity to contribute to the wider HR strategies and projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide general advice and support on HR policy and procedures as required by line managers and employees.
- Overseeing the probation reviews and advising line managers throughout the process, including probationary extensions.
- Managing employee relation cases such as investigations, grievances and disciplinaries.
- Overseeing the benefits administration, liaising with external providers on any upcoming renewals.
- Reviewing freelance requests for 360 department.
- Support on the performance appraisal process, assisting in the development of informal and formal performance improvement plans.
- Manage the maternity/paternity/shared parental and adoption leave processes with line managers to ensure employees and managers are advised on procedures and timelines.
- Checking the monthly internal payroll changes with the HR Advisor.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organisation, with the help of the HR team.
- Prepare regular reports for the Head of HR and HR Director as when needed.
- Raise benefit POs as when needed.
- Supporting or leading on HR Projects as when needed.
- Identifying opportunities and solutions for improvement of processes.
The Person
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor, preferably in the social media or tech sector.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience of executing all HR administration processes from start to finish
- A high standard of self-organisational skills, along with a proactive approach to keep things moving forward & always looking for ways to continuously improve existing policies & processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a desire to help line managers and employees, being able to build effective working relationships quickly.
- Proven experience of working directly with line managers on a range of generalist HR issues.
- CIPD level qualified or working towards this
- Team player, contributing to the success of the HR team
