Job description

We are seeking aHR Advisor to join our HR Outsourcing team providing HR support to our clients. If you would like to work for a thriving company where you can really make a difference, we would love to hear from you.

Why your role matters

Your role will be crucial in assisting our HR Consultancy team in delivering services to our HR Retained Clients and ad hoc HR Project Clients. It involves collaborating with our HR & Recruitment Coordinators to execute client transactional HR administration throughout the employment lifecycle and recruitment processes.

What you’ll be doing

In the role of HR Advisor, you will provide support to WorkNest clients and HR Consultants on employee relations issues such as disciplinary actions, capability assessments, absence management, and grievances.

You will have the opportunity to provide hands-on support to the HR Consultants in implementing small-scale redundancy, organisational restructuring plans, or client projects (e.g., redundancy consultations). This may involve attending meetings, recording notes, and generating all necessary documentation to ensure legal compliance for the client.

You will monitor and respond to client emails and telephone calls and promptly address queries on various employment law and HR lifecycle matters as part of your role, whilst managing client expectations to ensure service excellence.

Furthermore, you will play a key role in developing and reviewing client processes, contracts of employment, policies, and procedures. This includes crafting staff handbooks, reviewing client contracts and documentation and carrying out documentation audits. You will be responsible for calculating client employee holiday entitlements, considering various work patterns in both days and hours, handling the calculation of redundancy and notice entitlements for redundancy projections and demonstrating the ability to confidently explain these calculations to clients as needed.

About You

You will have experience of working in a HR function, at administrator or coordinator level. You will have ability to provide competent, high quality and reliable advice and guidance around HR issues and queries.

You will have excellent relationship building skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn and grow your HR expertise and knowledge.

Where you’ll be working

This is a hybrid role with an office base in Horsham (a minimum of one day per week in the office, with the rest of the week remote). You will also have the opportunity to visit client premises when required. That way, you’ll be able to work collaboratively with colleagues to effectively deliver our services, meet our clients face-to-face and have dedicated time to work at home.
