HR Advisor / Administrator
Central Edinburgh based | some flexibility on offer to WFH 2 days per week
Pay rate of £16.50 per hour + accrued holiday pay
Temporary role until the end of December 2024
Search are currently working with one of our most sought after and prestigious clients in the Financial Services space to recruit this HR Advisor role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR Advisory, Employee Relations and HR Administration work across the business during a period of transition until the end of this year.
Duties involved in this role will include:
* Act as first point of contact to the HR team from all internal colleagues & managers, providing professional advice & guidance covering the full spectrum of HR & people procedures
* Applying your knowledge of HR & your judgement on HR queries, ensuring that appropriate responses & guidance are given
* Delivering a wide range of administrative services across the full employee lifecycle including updates, starters, leavers, benefits, absences, performance management organisational changes & redundancies
* Ensuring that sensitive or challenging issues are appropriately escalated
* Providing informal coaching on HR issues when required
* Using the internal HR system (Workday) to carry out required changes & associated administration
* Providing support to employees on leave from the business (maternity, paternity, long term sickness)
* Ensuring all queries received are accurately logged & resolutions are tracked
* Manage & maintain information & content on the company's internal HR system (MyHR Online)
* Providing other HR Admin & Support as required & directed.
In order to be considered for this role, candidates must have:
* Extensive previous relevant experience in HR gained at Advisor level or above - this experience is ESSENTIAL
* CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD qualification would be preferred, although this is not as essential as the experience
* Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
* First class organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload effectively and pivot your focus depending on changing priorities
