A new role due to growth of this well-established but growing company. Supporting the Employee Relations specialist in a diverse hands-on role, you will get lots of exposure and mentoring.
You will look after your own key areas and be trusted to grow and evolve within your HR career. Good organisation and time management is essential due to multitasking and the pace of the company
Previous HR experience is needed and some exposure to areas of ER would be ideal.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in an HR / Employee Relations assistant role is essential.
- Have knowledge and understanding of employment law and best practice solutions.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, being able to create new and develop existing relationships.
- Ability to plan and prioritise workloads, in a fast-paced environment, whilst working towards tight deadlines.
- Ability to manage high workloads and conflicting priorities.
- Be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft packages.
- Will have had exposure to working with confidential and highly sensitive issues and information.
- Ability to analyse and process data.
Responsibilities include:
- To provide support to the Employee Relations team and the wider HR department; including but not limited to organising meetings such as investigations, disciplinary and grievances and taking minutes and appropriate actions.
- To Maintain HR systems and employee files, ensuring all digital filing is kept up to date.
- To manage the absence process, including producing absence reports from the system, analysis the data and support management with any absence meetings.
- To arrange medical referrals for specialist advice, if any, when required.
- To manage the exit of staff from the organisation by acknowledging resignations and exit interviews.
- To monitor activity timelines to ensure activities are completed within appropriate timescales, prompting the Employee Relations Advisors where necessary.
- To answer employee enquiries in accordance with company policies and procedures and legislation.
- To collate Employee Liability Information (ELI) information and populate spreadsheets for TUPE transfers.
- To attend site meetings such as TUPE consultations, welfare, disciplinary & grievance providing, support to the teams.
- To conduct visits to our site-based colleagues.
- To monitor the teams’ email in box, signposting emails to the relevant person.
