Team – HR Business Partners
Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Stockport Office. Full time, 35 hours per week. Open to part time and job share applications.

The purpose of the HR Business Partner role is to provide expert guidance and support to dedicated business areas on all elements of the employee life cycle.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders, including the Group Executive team members for your business areas. You will build strong and effective relationships with your stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor on all people matters.
This role will predominantly Business Partner our Customer Service leadership team in their mission to deliver work class service to our members through our Customer Charter. This area of the business is responsible for taking inbound complex calls in our contact centres from customers accessing their insurance policies.
Through developing an in-depth understanding of your business areas, you will identify and anticipate business needs and ensure people solutions are in place to address them. You will engage relevant specialist areas within the people function where required. You will act as a conduit between your partner areas’ leadership teams and the People function.
Key Actions
- You will be aligned to key stakeholders, including executives within the business units that you support. You will need to develop a comprehensive understanding of the operational/strategic challenges facing your business units
- You will play a key role in creating the desired environment where effective performance and development is achieved. You will do this through the coaching and influencing of the executive and management teams
- As this is a blended operational and strategic HRBP role, you will be solution-focused, and have experience in delivering HR services and solutions in a commercially fast paced and changing environments
- You will oversee and handle sensitive and complex high-volume HR and ER issues to ensure that the people agenda is maintained and any risk to the business is minimised
- In addition to being a strong technical HR/ER person, you will also have experience of managing multiple HR related projects from initial conception to completion and associated change management implications. This role will hold key deliverables on the People Plan
- You will use people data to analyse patterns and trends and produce data driven insights for your stakeholders that informs decision making on key people issues
- You will present proposals to enhance performance, engagement and employee experience to the People Leadership team and business stakeholders
- You will champion and drive engagement and buy-in for new initiatives with your stakeholder leadership teams
- You will take an active role in developing initiatives that support Vitality’s ambition to attract and retain the best people
- You will possess up to date employment law knowledge, hold a degree level education or equivalent experience, and be CIPD qualified
- An in-depth knowledge and understanding of complex ER issues
- Experience of managing complex people initiatives across the employee lifecycle
- Experience of HR Business Partnering areas such as Customer Services in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent stakeholder management experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Strong data analytical skills with an attention to detail used to drive data driven choice making and business decisions
- Ability to produce and present HR business proposals
- Proficiency in MS word and Powerpoint & Intermediate Excel skills
