Our client is a dynamic, fast-growing, and innovative company based in East Norwich. They have grown organically and now have a national presence with many blue-chip clients.
As they continue to grow and expand their operations, they are seeking an experienced and progressive HR Manager / HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join the senior team and help take their people capabilities to the next level.
Working closely with the Managing Director to support the development and performance management of the leadership team, you will also create and deliver a refreshed HR strategy aligned to strategic goals and business plan.
On a day-to-day basis you will operate as the ‘people lead’ supporting departmental heads and their teams in all aspects of HR; from recruitment and retention; to performance management and development; and right through to organisational culture and the operation of employee brand.

Keyresponsibilities include:
- Working alongside the MD to performance manage, coach and upskill the senior team to achieve their business and career development goals. Proactively recommending on future goals and standards in line with business strategy
- Developing and implementing an HR strategy that supports the achievement of commercial goals and that delivers an effective day to day HR ‘service’ to the business. We anticipate that this will include:
- The creation of an HR function using either internal or external resources
- Organisational design, succession planning and recruitment plans/ campaigns
- The creation of performance management systems, tools and training plans
- Proactive support on employee relations cases and issues, and matters of HR law
- Using data, key metrics and insights to proactively bring about improvement
- Salary benchmarking and rewards policies
- Ensuring excellent relationships with directors and managers in their business area to make sure employees have the skills and resources they need to achieve their objectives
- Coaching managers on ways to motivate their employees and lead more effectively.
- Creating and implementing effective plans and initiatives to foster and grow the culture of the business and bring to life (alongside our Head of Marketing) the ‘Employee Brand’
- To actively participate in the creation of our new staff training academy, as a key member of the project team.
About You
We are looking for the following skills, knowledge and experience:
- Proven experience in HR roles and with leadership/management expertise, preferably (but not essentially) within high growth businesses or commercial and industrial sectors
- A strategic thinker and high-level influencer, experienced in the development of HR strategy, who is equally capable of day to day service delivery and implementation
- Experience in utilising company culture as key driver of people performance
- A self-starter with excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Completely up to date on all aspects of HR legislation and practice, underpinned with a minimum of either a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or relevant CIPD qualifications, and demonstrable continuous professional development.
