We are currently seeking a motivated individual to support a central University department’s HR team as an HR Coordinator, including recruitment procedures, training coordination, HRIS management, absence management, remuneration administration, and employee relations.
Ideal candidates will have strong organisational skills, HR knowledge, and the ability to work independently.
This assignment is due to commence ASAP for approximately 12 weeks in the first instance, on a Part Time (18 to 21 hours per week) basis.
Duties include:
- Recruitment procedures: Handle recruitment administration such as application form logging, interview arrangement, RTW checks, and post-interview procedures including reference and DBS checks. Conduct new employee inductions.
- Training: Log training requests, organize training programs, and maintain training records, including feedback.
- HR Information Systems and Reports: Administer HRIS, maintain staff files, produce weekly and monthly HR reports, and troubleshoot system issues.
- Absence management: Manage sickness and maternity absences, take meeting minutes, and perform administrative tasks as required.
- Remuneration: Assist in payroll administration, handle payroll queries, and manage staff entitlements, allowances, and benefits.
The ideal candidate for this position must possess a deep understanding of HR technologies and current industry trends, alongside exemplary communication and organisational skills. They should demonstrate proficiency in recruitment, training processes, and compliance with legal requirements. Additionally, strong interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with various stakeholders.
