Optimise by Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting an HR Manager with CIPD qualifications to join a prominent law firm based in Chesterfield with occasional travel to sites around Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
* Formulating, implementing, and maintaining current HR policies and procedures to drive the people/business plan forward.
* Collaborating closely with Senior and Line Managers, providing guidance, coaching, and support on HR activities.
* Supporting and enhancing the performance review program.
* Taking the lead on recruitment activities, managing internal and external advertising, overseeing agency partnerships, and participating in interviews/assessments.
* Establishing and maintaining an effective talent pipeline process across all business levels.
* Reviewing and updating the Employee Handbook and associated policies and procedures.
* Overseeing employee relations and performance management processes, including disciplinary, grievance, and redundancy procedures.
* Supporting the training strategy and advising line managers on delivery, review, and measurement.
* Monitoring, reporting on, and managing sickness absence and related protocols.
* Managing the online employee engagement and recognition platform, including usage levels.
* Overseeing the online holiday and absence management system.
* Generating monthly MI and statistics reports to measure HR inputs, costs, and successes effectively.
* Maintaining accurate and accessible HR records.
Skills and experience:
* Over 5 years of HR experience, with exposure to recruitment being highly advantageous.
* Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and applications is essential.
* Proven ability to manage a full range of generalist HR processes.
* Possesses gravitas to build successful working relationships and influence/coach line managers on HR matters.
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills.
* Essential requirement of being a car owner/driver, as the role covers four office locations across the East Midlands.
* IT skills and experience using MS packages.
