HR Manager - Sheffield / Chesterfield area - £40000 to £43000 DOE and qualifications

This is a single academy trust in the secondary and 6th Form space - with a great people culture.
Due to retirement of the current HR Manager, they are looking to recruit a HR Manager to work in a standalone capacity as the HR expert for the school.
Based south of Sheffield - Sheffield/Chesterfield area.
Your new role
Reporting to the School Business Manager and working with the Senior Leadership Team Senior .
You will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle / HR function of the school with an employee base of circa 230 staff. You will be advising and responsible for all areas of people and human resources issues including ER, absence management, investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and general HR advise/guidance.
You will also take charge of the recruitment for teaching and non-teaching/support staff including all compliance issues.
You will support with the People Plan and Work Force Planning and staff support/well being and cultural developments.
This role will be predominately site based - but there maybe the opportunity to work 1 day a week from home - where business needs allow.
Flexible working arrangements in the 37-hour working week are also available.
As a Senior HR Advisor or current HR Manager, this is a great opportunity to join an education establishment and steer the HR / people culture and provision.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You will be an experienced HR Professional with experience in generalist areas of HR & ER - with a keen interest in the education sector (but working experience is not required) and the development/future of children.
Ideally trade union experience.
CIPD Level 5 minimum or suitably equivalent experience.

- Initially 20 days holidays, plus the stats - HOWEVER - with flexible working hours you can "accrue" extra holidays ( to be taken in school holidays / non term time). Holiday entitlement rises to 25 days plus stats with length of service.
