Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Salary: £40,000

Duration: Permanent

A family run, medium sized manufacturing company are looking for a HR Manager who will be at the very heart of its people. With a professional yet warm and welcoming environment, you will be managing day to day HR related matters, handling all the recruitment, onboarding and training of new starters, working alongside the Senior Management team and managing all HR records. This is a standalone role, working closely with the Managing Director and Accountant.

What our client can offer you:

• Reviewing and updating of policies and procedures, and keeping staff updated of any changes and updates
• Managing all staff records accordingly and keeping files and documents updated
• Managing day to day issues and problems accordingly as and when they arise
• Managing the full recruitment life cycle, working with external agencies, booking and arranging interviews, sitting on interviews and sending out contracts and paperwork
• Onboarding and inducting all new starters
• Managing the training and development of staff, putting together training plans, booking courses and qualifications as per employee
• Working closely with Senior Management team, sitting in on meetings, identifying skills gaps, performance reviews and implementing new procedures when needed
• Reviewing and updating of salaries, benefits, and compensation packages
• Liaising with the Finance Manager with any salary changes and reviews
• Implement wellbeing activities and support

What we are looking for:

• CIPD level 5 ideally
• Previous experience of working in a HR role at similar level
• Ideally previous experience of working in a manufacturing or engineering company
• Confident being in a stand alone role
• Strong knowledge of policies and procedures to best represent the company
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters in personable and professional manner
• A warm and welcoming persona who cares for both the business and its people
