Our client is a very well-respected supplier of construction materials and flooring related products into the trade and retail sectors. This company has an optimistic, friendly and driven approach.
We are looking for a genuine people person, someone who's able to engage with customers and who wants to develop a sales career within the construction supplies sector.
No experience required but personality definitely is! Full training is provided and there is a clear induction program to bring you up to speed. It is not normally possible to enter the industry at an Internal Sales Advisor level.
This is an important role for our client. They don't want an order processor!! They need a proactive, hungry sales professional who's confident in their manner, great to talk to and methodical in their approach to ensure that high level of service is delivered at all times. You are rewarded for your efforts with a strong bonus scheme.
You will interact with current customers over the phone and by email. Asking questions, finding out about the needs of the client, what materials they sell most of, taking quotation enquiries, developing rapport with these people and upselling where possible. You will need to be able to think on your feet and ideally demonstrate sound product knowledge (once learnt) when called upon. Building a rapport with these people is crucial and forming a continuing relationship too.
The Internal Sales Advisor role is a natural 'stepping stone' to an external sales role which is an enviable position within the industry.
