We are a London-based design studio that evolved from a collaboration between architecture and theatre design. Today, we are a multidisciplinary practice that works across architecture, exhibitions, graphic design, theatre, story-telling, film and animation. At its core, our work is about creating spaces that stimulate experiences.
We are looking for someone interested in exhibitions and the creative arts, to join the Interpretation and Content Team in our busy Studio. The majority of work will be within the Museum, Heritage and Art sectors, so an interest in these is essential.
We are interested in hearing from applicants from a variety of backgrounds and with a range of skills and experience, including (but not restricted to) Museum and Heritage Interpretation, Museum Learning or Communications, English, Science Communication, History, Archaeology, Curatorial, Architecture, Bid writing, New Business, Advertising and Marketing. We are interested in people who are curious about the world around them and interested in translating this into great exhibitions and experiences.
Typical tasks we would expect this role to carry out:
New Business:
- bid writing for pitching documents to win new work
- design, write, edit and submit bid documents
- researching possible business opportunities
Interpretation:
- content research
- interpretation planning and delivery
- supporting architects in object placement and exhibition design, thinking about the intellectual approach and the overall visitor experience
- writing text for exhibitions
Audience Engagement:
- audience testing
- running focus groups and workshops
- an interest in co-creation projects and community participation
- curatorial approach alongside the team
Skills and experience
Essential:
- degree in a relevant subject
- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including ability to present to key stakeholders and write reports.
- excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and across teams including client-facing
- excellent project-management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and remain calm under pressure
Desirable:
- experience in working with exhibition designers to deliver high-quality large scale temporary and permanent exhibitions
- previous experience in leading creative workshops and focus groups
- experience managing social media profile
