An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Content Designer to join a forward-thinking organisation committed to improving financial decision-making across the UK. The role is central to the development of the Pensions Dashboards Service, a pivotal project aimed at connecting people with their pensions. This contract position offers a hybrid working arrangement with a requirement to attend the central London office 1-2 days a week, although there may be flexibility.
Day to Day of the role:- Develop clear, user-friendly guidance documentation for pension schemes joining the Pensions Dashboards connection service.
- Ensure content is easy to understand for users and stakeholders, tailoring communication to different audiences.
- Present content in the right place and best format across various channels, adhering to brand and style guidelines.
- Support content design, writing, and editing for the Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP) website.
- Proofread, restructure, and edit articles, leading with best practice and translating technical content into plain English.
- Collaborate with experts across the programme to gather information and insights, informing content development and decision-making.
- Proven experience in user-centred content design, writing, or editing.
- Ability to write in plain language, making content accessible to all audiences.
- Experience working on user-focused services with an understanding of user experience principles and processes.
- Up-to-date knowledge of best practice and trends in content design.
- Demonstrable experience collaborating with user researchers, business analysts, service and interaction designers.
- Ability to understand complex user journeys and direct solutions to meet diverse needs.
- Understanding of the public sector and central government.
- Familiarity with SEO and keyword research.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to significant change and transformation projects.
- Understanding of large-scale digital projects.
- Knowledge of the pensions and/or financial services sector.
- Experience writing in GOV.UK style.
- Professional qualification in communications, marketing, content, or a related field.
