Development Manager (.NET, .NET Core, AWS)
Salary up to £70,000 (dependent on experience)
I have an amazing opportunity for a Development Manager to join my National leading client to run their IT development team. This role is crucial for overseeing front end, back end, and QA testers. The ideal candidate will have experience with website replatform projects and a strong background in retail or e-commerce. Familiarity with AWS and .NET development languages is a plus.
Reporting to Head of IT this is such a great role for someone who wants to join a company where they can make an impact from day 1!
The business is based in Midlands, but the role is remote, with very occasional travel to office.
Day to Day of the role:
- Lead and manage both in-house and outsourced development teams to create a high-performing work environment.
- Define team structure, establish development paths, and provide training opportunities.
- Oversee recruitment for software developers and QA testers.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle, ensuring efficient planning, resourcing, and prioritisation.
- Take ownership of workflow management tools, addressing any blockages and maintaining processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship, making informed decisions and participating in discussions on innovative technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve platforms and processes, introducing new skills and best practices.
- Represent the IT development team in business meetings, ensuring IT strategy aligns with business goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with .NET development languages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Understanding of SDLC methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in AWS technologies is advantageous.
- Experience in test automation.
