It Support Engineer

Due to growth, our client based in Saffron Walden is seeking a talented and motivated IT Support Engineer to join their team. This role is due to growth within the business and you will play a crucial role in the continued growth and success of the company.

The role is to support users with their internal technology infrastructure, therefore you will have proven experience in an IT support or a related role.

• Management of internal helpdesk, responding and fixing within agreed SLAs.
• Build and maintain self-help resources.
• Ensure SysAdmin documentation and knowledge share is up to date.
• Building laptops and virtual workstations.
• Managing asset database and warranties.
• Acting as an ambassador for ISO27001 I.T policies.
• Maintenance of ISMS policies, processes and sheets.
• Assist in the management of our internal network,
• Assist in maintaining network plans and diagrams.
• Basic networking troubleshooting and resolution using relevant cloud platforms.
• Taking a lead role in the security incident management process.
• Manage starter, leaver, change and purchasing processes.
• Building and maintaining the script and command library.
• Software patch and firmware management.
• Manage user licensing for standard platforms.
• Assist in the management of new software requests.
• Manage routine tasks such as password assessments security reports, software/hardware auditing.
• Manage domain renewals.

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in IT support or a related role, this will be you second or third role.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with hardware components, software applications and basic networking concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Customer-orientated with a strong commitment to providing excellent service.
