IT Support Engineer

Exciting opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join a growing nationwide business in Chelmsford.
Reed Technology is exclusively working with a client in Chelmsford who are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their team.
The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for BAU and day to day IT Support for an internal user base of 330 users currently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling and prioritising service requests and support issues using the helpdesk system.
- Monitoring the IT environment using RMM software.
- Administering various enterprise security products to ensure a secure IT infrastructure.
- Assisting with technical aspects related to regulatory requirements.
- Handling IT-related tasks involved in user onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Managing and maintaining the company's Microsoft 365 tenant for optimal productivity.
- Building and supporting telecommunications systems and equipment.
- Participating in the planning and execution of IT project design and implementation.
- Collaborating with third-party vendors to enhance IT software, networks and systems.
- Creating and revising IT policies and procedures to ensure efficient workflows.
Desirable Experience:
- A minimum of three years of experience in an IT support role.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact and provide timely resolutions.
- Proven ability to handle IT support requests professionally and efficiently.
- Experience administering Microsoft products, including Azure Compute, Microsoft 365 (hybrid), Windows Server OS, Active Directory, DFS, Group Policy and Office Suite.
- Understanding of networking functionalities like firewall rule sets, VPNs, VLANs.
- Experience with Linux distros is desirable.
