2nd Line Support Technician - IT Support Analyst
Our client, a global organisation, is looking to recruit the services of an experienced IT Support Technician for an initial 6 month fixed-term contract, based in Knightsbridge, west central London. While the initial contract is 6 months, there is a possibility the role will then become permanent.
The post holder will be responsible for day to day oversight and administration of our client’s mulit-site IT infrastructure and the third party providers that deliver support for the physical and virtualised infrastructure.
Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that all systems are configured and supported in such a way as to maximise availability of systems
- Providing support to help desk team members and end users.
- Systems Administration - Deployment, installation and ongoing support of computer hardware and software
- Support - 1st / 2nd line support reference for our client’s employees in the corporate office and internationally
- Education - Participate in user IT education and awareness programs and initiatives.
- Project Delivery - Support in the delivery of new systems and projects to enhance the infrastructure
- Incident Management - Participate as required in incident management and response, including communications.
Required skills and experience:
- Previous experience in an IT Technical Support or similar role, including 2nd line support, preferably within a mid to enterprise size business
- Experience with administration of Microsoft cloud technologies, Active Directory Users and Computers, and Microsoft Office365
- Knowledge of server and desktop hardware support and deployment, and of networking configuration and troubleshooting
- Understanding of LAN, WAN & Wireless networking technologies
- Administration of virtualised infrastructure a key advantage
- Any of the following industry certifications are an advantage: ITIL, MCSA/MCSE, CCNA or Computing related degree
